Sandra Brueningsen

Sandra Lynn (Mihalchick) Brueningsen, age 59 of Winter Garden, FL formerly of Bethlehem, PA died Thursday January 12th, 2023 after an 11 month long battle with brain cancer. Sandy was the daughter of the late George J. and Florence (Ratajczak) Mihalchick of Horsham, PA.

Born in Elkins Park, PA, Sandy graduated from Hatboro-Horsham High School class of 1980 and Katharine Gibbs School.

Sandy was formerly a member of St Stephens Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem and St Catherine of Siena Church, Horsham. In the mid 1980s Sandy was a volunteer crew member on the tall ship Gazela sailing out of Philadelphia. While her sons were active in Scouting she served in the Minsi Trails Council of the Boy Scouts as a Cub Pack Committee Chair and District Cub Scout Training Chair. Following her family's move to Florida in 2015 Sandy was employed by Disney Cruise Line as a Shoreside Guest Services specialist.

Sandy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 32 years Gary, sons Eric and Alex of Winter Garden, mother Florence, brother George, nieces Meghan, Gillian and Dana, and nephew Andrew.

A celebration of life service will be held at Collision Carey Hand Funeral Home, 1148 E. Plant St, Winter Garden on January 20, 2023 beginning at 6:30 pm.
