Rose Ann Terry, 76, of Winter Garden, and formerly of Yorktown VA., passed away Saturday October 14, 2017. Rose Ann was the wife of Air Force Chief Master Sergeant George Terry, Jr., Retired, who preceded her in death in 2011. She was so proud of being a military wife for 30 years that she only half-jokingly called herself a veteran.
She always seemed happiest with children and was a dedicated mother to George, Tony (Monica), Joe (Angela) and Lori (Jacquelyn). She adored her 11 grandchildren Vincent, T.J., George, Xavier, Scott, Kayla, Kendal, Isaiah, Kai, Paris and Trevor. She was also sister to Robert LoPiano and his wife Carol. She was aunt to Cammie (Paul), Tammy (Roger) and Chris (Delores). Though dearly remembered for her dedication to her children, it was only surpassed by her dedication to God.
She went to church regularly all her life. In Winter Garden, she attended Resurrection Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister when she was able. She was also a part of the Sisters of Notre Dame.
Rose Ann made friends easily. She had friends here and all over the country. The last year-and-a-half of her life, she spent much of her time with her companion, Caitlin, who took great care of her. During her life, Rose Ann lived in Germany, traveled around Europe, greatly enjoyed cooking, baking cakes, and scrapbooking. When she wasn't out enjoying theme parks, concerts, plays and musicals, she loved playing cards or hanging out with friends at the Jessie Brock Center and was always happiest when she was socializing.
She will always be remembered as the kindest, most light-hearted, positive, stubborn Italian who won battle after battle for her life. She amazed us all.
Though we will miss her terribly, we also remember that she still lives on in heaven. As Richard Bach once wrote, "What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the Master calls a butterfly."
