Noemi Valentin

Noemi Valentin, 70, of Davenport Florida returned home on June 16th 2024. She passed away peacefully with family and her legacy behind her.

 She was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 3rd, 1954 to Alberto and Sara Valentin. Noemi was one out of 11 siblings. She moved to Puerto Rico and transitioned back to Chicago while raising her 5 children. In the year 1975, Noemi Valentin married Francisco Ortiz and was faithfully married for 32 years. Throughout the years, she made Florida her forever home.

 Noemi was preceded in death by her parents Sara and Alberto Valentin, her husband Francisco Ortiz, her daughter and son Beatriz Ortiz and Ramon Ramos. She is survived by Josue Ramos, Sara Ramos, Cynthia Coronado along with her 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

 Noemi’s legacy takes on many forms. She was an extraordinary daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Nonetheless, one of the most impactful forms of her legacy was her unconditional love for everyone. She taught her family that “family is anyone who loves you unconditionally.” After meeting a stranger, she would soon call them family. She was a mother and a “Wela” to so many!

 She demonstrated unconditional love throughout her life, and the doors to her home were always open. Something she showed us all was her resilient strength. Every part of her life, heart, body and soul was touched but NEVER did she faint in faith. At all time, she blessed the name of the Lord!

 In her final hours, with her legacy by her side, she continued to spread the gospel and testify about the power that has lifted her up many times. But this time, that same power will lift her up to be with the Lord. And she will finally hear the words we are all anticipating…
