Mark David Green passed away on July 23, 2017, at age 44 at Dr. Phillips Hospital in Orlando due to complications from a long chronic illness. He was born on February 12, 1973 in Hialeah Hospital, and grew up in Hialeah and south Dade County until the family moved to Brevard County in 1985. He attended Merritt Island High School. He later moved to Sarasota where he began working for Publix grocery stores as a baker.
He met Kim Buckholtz in Sarasota, where they married. They moved to Cape Coral where he continued to work for Publix. Mark was close to Kim's son, Danny, and they also had two children, Brandon and Jessica. Mark and Kim were divorced and Mark moved to Orlando where his mother and step father had relocated. He also worked for Publix in Orlando. He worked as a land surveyor for DRMP for several years. He also lived for a time in Melbourne where he worked as a cook. Mark became disabled with liver disease and lived the last few years of his life with his mother and step father in Ocoee.
He was a lifelong avid fan of the Miami Dolphins and the Miami Hurricane football teams, and loved to play the guitar. He was predeceased by his sister, Angela Schmidt and his father, York Green. He is survived by his son, Brandon Green, daughter, Jessica Green, former step son, Danny Buckholtz, half-brother, Richard Perez, step-brother, Robert Perez, step-sister, Rosalyn Clark, his mother, Shirley Perez, his step father, Joe Perez, and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends who he loved and who loved him. He will be dearly missed.
