A Life of Love and Faith: Remembering Marie Jane Williams
Marie Jane Williams, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2024, at 86 years old. Born in Rochester, New York, on February 27, 1938; Marie's life was a testament to the power of family, faith, and unconditional love.
Marie's journey began in a close-knit Italian household, where she learned the values defining her life. Her family moved from Rochester, New York to Jacksonville, Florida. In 1955, she married Lytle Olan Williams, beginning her lifetime of devotion and partnership to her husband, and growing family. Together, they raised eight children: Valerie (deceased), Mark, Glen, Jackie, Lorrie (deceased), Todd, Tammie, and Stacie. Her legacy of love extended generations and was felt by her 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A pillar of strength and compassion, Marie's home was a sanctuary for all. Her table was always full, her door always open, welcoming family, friends, and strangers alike with her kind and warm embrace. Her patience and love knew no bounds, whether navigating Disney World with grandchildren or offering a listening ear to those in need.
Marie's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. A devoted Catholic and long-time member and Eucharistic Minister of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, and in her later years attended Precious Blood Catholic Church, she lived her beliefs through daily acts of kindness and selfless love. Her unwavering moral compass guided not only her family but all who knew her.
In her professional life, Marie showcased her versatility and determination, retiring from both Honeywell and Disney World, and finding success as a real estate agent. However, her true calling was always at the heart of her family.
Marie Jane Williams leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and generosity that will continue to inspire for generations. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish her memory.
Marie’s life was a wonderful blend of love and faith. Although she will be greatly missed, her essence continues to exist in the many lives she influenced, showing a life filled with purpose and unconditional love. While she will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched, a testament to a life well-lived and a love that knows no bounds.
To pay tribute to Marie, the family warmly invites you to her Memorial Mass at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, which will be followed by a Graveside Service at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
