Marie Alice Joseph

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Marie Alice Joseph, on 12 August, 2024 at the age of 83. Her departure leaves a great emptiness in our hearts, but we find comfort in the knowledge that she is resting in the arms of our Savior.

Born in Marchand Dessalines, Haiti, on 12 March 1941, Marie Alice Joseph was a pillar of strength, faith, and sacrifice. She was known to have hands that were never idle-whether they were tending to the garden, cooking Haitian dishes, caring for her family, in prayer, or in praise lifting holy hands to God. Her devotion to God, her sacrifices, and her unwavering love will be cherished memories passed down through generations.

Marie Alice Joseph was preceded in death by her partner, Nevarice Joseph, and son, Harry Joseph. Her legacy is carried on by her five living children and two step-children: Willy Joseph, Clairemezine Jadis, Evanel Joseph, Marie Alice Joseph, Eustache Joseph, Yronce Joseph, Marie-Therese Joseph, 20 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, many extended family members, and dear friends.

 The family expresses their deepest gratitude for the prayers, support, and love shown during this time of loss. Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in the knowledge that Marie Alice Joseph is now in the presence of our Lord. We will miss her dearly, but her faith, love, and legacy will live on in our hearts forever.
