Maria A. Lozada, of Carolina, Puerto Rico, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the age of 90.
She was known to everybody as "Toni." Maria was born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico on November 10, 1927 to Cantalicia Marrero and Pedro Rivera. She was married to the late Francisco Lozada.
Maria was a member of Saint Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Reading, PA. She was a church choir director and a member of the Sacred Heart Society. Maria was a seamstress, played the guitar, loved singing and enjoyed hosting family and friends during the holidays. She was a loving and caring person with an amazing heart, a contagious laugh and a smile that would light up a room. Christmas was her favorite holiday of the year.
She is survived by her five children, Edwin Santiago, husband of Vickie Santiago, Muhlenberg, PA, Maria Santiago, wife of Nelson Santiago of St. Cloud, FL, Josie Alvarez of Kissimmee, FL, Margaret Lozada Rivera, wife of Geronimo Rivera, Carolina, PR and Frank Lozada, husband of Diane Jett-Lozada of Muhlenberg, PA.
Maria will be sorely missed by her six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Maria will also be fondly remembered and missed by her numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2017, 11am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1603 N. Thacker Ave., Kissimmee, Fl. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. A visitation and viewing will be held Monday from 5-8pm at Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home, 1148 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden, FL.
