Laura Moats

Laura H. Moats, age 81 of Orlando, FL passed away peacefully on May 10, 2013. She was born in White Hall, Maryland on April 22, 1932. She worked for many years with her husband John at the Moats Service Center in Quarryville, PA before moving to Florida. She was an active and devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Central Florida. Laura also enjoyed being with children and volunteered for many years at the William Frangus Elementary School. She enjoyed arts and crafts with her family and loved to travel with her husband. She was preceded in death by loving husband John on April 20, 2013 her daughter, Kathy Lawrence her brothers: North Heisey Jr., John Heisey and Bill Heisey and by her sisters: Alma Halbert and Jane Seller. Laura is survived by her son, Keith Deborah Moats her soninlaw, Scott Lawrence her brother, David Heisey her grandchildren: Erika, Justin, Heather and Timothy and her great grandson, Chase.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 16 from 6:00 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be Friday, May 17 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Florida Baptist Childrens Home, P.O. Box 8190 Lakeland, FL 33802.
