John Hinkle of Winter Garden, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021.
John was born on Feb 12, 1964 in Fairfax, Virginia. He spent his childhood in SW and Northern Virginia and moved to Florida when he was in his 20's.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard A. Hinkle, his mother, Emma Sue Gearheart, and his beloved fiancé, Christy King.
He is survived by his sisters, Kathy Hinkle Lavoie, and Belinda Hinkle Crabtree and his brother-in-law Eddie Crabtree, his step-mother, Jan Clem, his nieces, Angie Blankenship, Nikki Hinkle, and Brittany Hall, and his nephew, Randy Nicley, six great nieces and nephews, and one great, great niece.
John worked for many years at Teak Isle in Ocoee, where he built beautiful boat cabinets. He left there for a few years to try some other lines of work, but eventually came back to Teak Isle, because that is where his heart was all along.
John was a wonderful man who loved his family greatly and never met a stranger, and was well liked or loved by everyone he knew. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, and especially by those of us who loved him dearly.
John struggled with addiction for many years and just as it seemed he was overcoming it, this terrible disease came back and took him from us. If you or anyone you love is struggling with addiction, please find help immediately. Their life depends on it.
