James "Jim" Tyree passed away on November 8, 2022.
He was born to James F. and Carolyn Tucker on September 29, 1953. Jim had 8 siblings; Patty, Claudia, Don, Carolyn, Fred, Patrick, Tim and Michelle. His family also includes several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his two brothers; Donald and Patrick.
Jim joined the Air Force in 1971 immediately after High School. His Air Force career lasted 14 years. During these 14 years, Jim had 2 daughters; Stephanie and Kathy.
He enjoyed his Air Force life and the privilege to serve his country!
During his last assignment in Tacoma, Washington, he met Debbie and her daughter Kimberly and in 1987 Jim and Debbie joined their families together where they enjoyed 35 years of living and making memories. Together they share 4 grandchildren; Kara (24), Hannah (20), Jimmy (20) and Ashleigh (19).
After leaving his military life, Jim moved his beloved family to his native Florida where Debbie fell in love with his siblings and the weather. He was "home" with everyone that he loved.
After several jobs in Florida, Jim took a job working for Disney. Disney wound up being a job that he enjoyed as he was able to share with his family and dear friends.
Jim and Debbie enjoyed traveling, family time, making memories wherever they went and their grandchildren!
Life started to take a different course in 2013 where he was diagnosed with lung cancer. In 2017 he was diagnosed again with lung cancer in the other lung. He continued to enjoy life. He felt he was a survivor as he beat cancer twice!
Cancer was not done with Jim. In 2021 he was diagnosed again with MDS (bone marrow cancer). He knew the prognosis but again, continued to enjoy his life to the very end.
No regrets.
