Hatem Eriste

June 17, 1987 — June 28, 2017

Hatem Timothy Eriste entered the world on June 17, 1987 in Newark, New Jersey. He was born to Frances Parks and Timothy Eriste and later joined by his younger sister Mika Eriste. Tim was raised by his mom, Frances and stepfather, Timothy Parks.
Although the beginning of his childhood was a bit rough, he managed to graduate from Ocoee High School in 2006. Later, he was honored with a basketball scholarship to attend and play for Volunteers State where he graduated college and became a successful entrepreneur. He went on to become a loving son, brother, and fantastic father.
Being known by many, it wouldn't be modest to say that he loved the game of basketball and no one could tell him that he was not the best at it. He would play nearly every day and in his mind, he never missed a beat since college. More than basketball, he had another love and family was it, family came before it all. If he never showed us how much family meant to him before, then he definitely showed us on the day he and Priscilla Martins brought his first and only son Makai Timothy Eriste into the world on July 11, 2014. His love for his son was undeniable, his "Young Bull" or "King Kai" as he would call him.
Even with the family trials and tribulations of his mother's sudden discovery of breast cancer, Tim was the glue that held the family together. With his constant reminders that "We are all we have", "I got your back", and his famous "We are blessed, praises to the most high" Tim brought happiness, strength, and indescribable love in the air when he entered a room.
Kind, loving, ambitious, and a giving man he was. He brought joy to a broken heart with his jokes and smile, but God had another plan. He asked him to come home on June 28, 2017, but with the wisdom, love, and growing young bull he left behind, he is still here with us, not in vain, but in our memories and hearts and with that alone we love, admire, and cherish the legacy of Hatem Timothy Eriste.
He leaves behind his son, mother, father, five brothers, three sisters, three grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends too numerous to mention, and his fellow KINGZ.
