Harold Wright

April 25, 1936 — March 17, 2014

Harold E. Wright, 77, passed away on, Monday, March 17, 2014, at Hospice of the Comforter, in Altamonte Springs, Florida, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born in Lafayette, Indiana, he was the eldest of 2 children. Harold married the love of his life, Lois, in 1956 and they spent 57 loving years together raising a daughter, and two sons. Harold leaves his wife Lois, daughter Debra and her spouse, and son Douglas and his spouse, all from Apopka, Florida. He also leaves behind 6 granddaughters, and 1 grandson as well as 3 greatgranddaughters and 2 greatgrandsons. Harold was preceded in death by his Mother, Edith Wright, his sister Barbara Southworth, his youngest son, Dan Wright, and a grandson, Tommy Drake.

Harold proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1954 1957. He had an intense sense of patriotism and was proud of the job he did.

Harold had an exceptional sense of humour and thoroughly loved telling stories. He enjoyed teasing his children and greatgrandchildren and they were entirely entertained by his antics. He will be sorely missed.

Harold worked in the Auto Industry nearly all his life. As a business owner, he opened several automotive related businesses in Logansport, Indiana. He and Lois moved to Florida in 1992, to join their family and found work at the areas Auto auctions for a number of years before they finally retired.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 10:00 am, at the Silver Star Christian Church located at 7510 Silver Star Road, Orlando, Florida, 32818. Luncheon will be provided following the service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made on Harolds behalf to either the American Diabetes Association , or Hospice of the Comforter, Altamonte Springs, Florida.
