Harold "Dicky" Howard passed away peacefully at home with family by his side in Webster, Fl, at the age of 84. He now joins his beloved wife, Ruby, his parents Hiram and Ruby Howard. Also, preceding his death was his son Dickie Levon, and daughter Donna Lynn; brother Grady Howard and sisters Doris Gillespie, Billie Varnado, Betty Hemby, Jewell Ochinero, and Jackie Banks. He is survived by his children, Sandy (Bill) Smith, Debbie (Butch) Kemp, Christee Yates, Holly (Jerry) Howe, Tammy Howard, Harold Howard Jr., Nikki (Alex) Ramirez, Rick (Jan) Shull, Cindy (Bob) Pruett, and Keith Shull. He was known as "Pawpaw" to many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was also well loved by many nieces and nephews.
He was born in Villa City, Florida. Dicky was the youngest of Hiram and Ruby's seven children. He spent much of his life between Florida, Alaska, Michigan, and North Carolina. Dicky was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, where he spent his time spreading the gospel. He was deeply devoted to his Christian faith, purchasing and distributing Bibles to his family and friends. Dicky was the C.E.O of LSM Inc., and was a masonry contractor with an extraordinary work ethic, he has inspired and educated many relatives about the trade. As he grew older, he found joy in caring for his land and farm animals.
Mr. Howard's memorial celebration will begin with viewing and visitation at his home, located at 4055 CR. 721 Webster, Fl on Saturday 5:00-7:00 p.m.and Sunday 5:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Church of God of Prophecy in Mascotte at 11:00 a.m., graveside services will immediately follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Groveland.
