Grover "Bud" McClenathan, age 60 of Orlando, Florida passed away January 11, 2022. Bud was born on June 28, 1961 in Walton, NY, to Grover Sr. and Janet (Gray) McClenathan. He bravely served in the US Navy as a Nuclear Tech/ Torpedoman's mate.
Grover (BUD) McClenathan was a member of the VFW Post 4287 and their Honor Guard as well as a member of Semper Fidelis America and the American Legion post 0242 in Orlando Fl. His volunteer work was of great importance to him as was his friends, family, and brothers of the association he aligned with. His love for this great country ran deep as did his generosity for helping anyone in need. He would give the shirt off his back, and his last dollar. He was very proud of his service in the US Navy aboard the USS Ulysses S. Grant, USS Omaha with Advanced Undersea, Navy Achievement medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, SSBN Deterent Patrol Pin Expert Rifle and Pistol and served as an Instructor in small arms marksmanship. He retired his service honorably a man of faith in GOD and Country.
He is survived by his loving wife: Robin McClenathan, two brothers: John McClenathan of PA, James McClenathan of CT, a sister: Kim McClenathan Turner of CT, four children: JoAnna, Amanda, Chrystina and Grover III all of CT, 10 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
