George Ndisi

April 3, 1974 — May 15, 2019

Winter Garden

George “Pompidou” Ndisi was born on April 3, 1974 in Nairobi, Kenya to the late James Alfayo Ndisi and Janet Atieno Otono. He is survived by his loving wife, Roseann Ndisi and two sons, Vincent and Jonathan Ndisi. He was a brother to Robert, the late Teresa, Sally, Fred, Emmy, Dennis, Richard, and Nelly; cousin to Eric and Grace in the United States as well as cousin, uncle and relative to many throughout Kenya, England, and Sweden. On May 15, 2019, George was called to his heavenly home.

Following high school, George left his childhood home to work and study at Kenya Utalii College in Nairobi, Kenya. After completing his college studies, George was selected to participate in the Disney International College program in Orlando, Florida. Not long after relocating to Orlando, George began his long and successful career in retail management. At the time of his passing, George had been a devoted manager and respected leader for 12 years at Lowe’s Home Improvement Company.

George had a passion for life. He enjoyed traveling and experiencing new adventures with his wife, Roseann. George appreciated the simple things in life: gardening, sewing, and spending time with family. He admired life’s natural treasures. On walks or hikes, he frequently stopped to take pictures of seemingly insignificant things like flowers and insects.

George lived by the principles found in Galatians 5. Galatians describes attributes of a person or community living in accord with the Holy Spirit. Chapter 5 of the Epistle to the Galatians: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” George often referenced this scripture to support his daily decisions.

George was a peaceful man who loved to help others. He was admired by family, friends and all who encountered him.

We will always remember George for his infectious smile and kind, compassionate spirit.
