Frederic Giddens

Frederic Giddens, 99 of Ocoee, Florida went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 28, 2013. He was born on August 4, 1914 in Dexter, Georgia. A long time West Orange County resident, Fred was a devoted member of Starke Lake Baptist Church and served proudly in the United States Army during World War II. A favorite pastime of Freds was to spend time gardening and growing vegetables. Fred was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth Giddens. He is survived by his sister, Louise Bush his nieces and nephews and by a special friend, Betty Woodson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 from 6:00 8:00 PM at Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home, Winter Garden, Florida. Funeral Service will be on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Starke Lake Baptist Church in Ocoee, Florida with interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Starke Lake Baptist Church Youth Fund, Ocoee, Florida.
