Erik Rosario

Erik Gilbert Rosario, 51, of Winter Garden, FL, passed on March 3, 2019. He was born on December 3, 1967 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Gilberto Rosario, who preceded him in death, and his mother Maria Rosario. He was married to Connie Williams and she survives. He is also survived by his step-children, Kaitlin Doppstadt and spouse, Matthew Doppstadt of Winter Garden, and Courtney Williams of Boca Raton; his step-grandchildren, Tyler, Jackson, Eddie, Clarrisa, and Michael. Erik grew up in Brooklyn but spent many years living in Puerto Rico and eventually moved to the Orlando area to spend the rest of his life. He worked in Winter Garden for 20 years at Golf Cart Enterprises as a Shop Mechanic/Manager. Outside of work, he enjoyed building motorcycles and racing slot cars. He was a big Nascar and Monster Jam fan, as he attended several races. An American Patriot through and through, he represented his country well with a strong work ethic and love of his family. A memorial will be held on March 9, 2019 at Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home in Winter Garden at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted to the Sarcoma Foundation of America in memory of Erik and his long and hard battle with this disease.
