Emilio Torres was born in Las Tablas, Jalisco, Mexico on November 4th, 1929. His parents were Marciano and Josefina Torres. He passed away on May 10th, 2020. Emilio was a very hard working man, his entire life working in agriculture fields, plant nurseries and finally retiring from carpet mills in 2006. He leaves behind his loving wife of 67 years: Maura Torres, 12 children: Ester Munguia, Alicia Munguia, Javier Torres, Virginia Ochoa, Lilia Munguia, Emilio Torres, Griselda Barragan, Carmen Rangel, Guadalupe Cisneros, Jesus Torres, Josefina Flores and Dora Aguirre; 39 grandchildren and 47 great grand children. He had a love for music and enjoyed playing the guitar. His hobbies included playing dominoes and working on his yard. He was a devout Catholic, he was a very loved father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend and was respected and admired by everyone who had the honor of meeting him for his honesty and willingness to help. He will be dearly missed.
A private Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, May 14, 2020, 1:30pm at Resurrection Catholic Church in Winter Garden. Interment will follow in Orlando Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 1pm to 5 pm at the funeral home.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will be limiting the number of occupants in the building during the visitation times.
