Charles Butterfield

Charles E Butterfield, 79 of Ocoee, Florida was called home to be with his Lord August 22, 2018. Charles was a long time resident of Ocoee, Florida.
Charles was an admired and loved man by those he knew him, he was a loving husband and father. Charles enjoyed having conversations with everyone, he enjoyed being around family and friends, he welcomed everyone like family. He enjoyed watching sports although the Ohio State was his favorite team, you could always find him watching when they played.
Charles happily served his country in the United States Army, where he served in Vietnam. He worked at Florida Hospital as a landscaper and after retirement he enjoyed his life. His grandchildren were the apples of his eyes. When he was not spending time with family and not watching sports, he enjoyed putting puzzles together.
Charles is preceded in death by his wife Patsy; his parents, George and Marcella Butterfield; and his brothers. He is now reunited with them all.
Charles is survived by both his sons Charles "Chuck" Butterfield, Jr. of Birmingham, AL and Gary Butterfield of Tampa; his grandson, Richard G. Ebert of Ocoee; his granddaughters, Edna N. Butterfield of Tampa, and Patricia Dawn of Michigan; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Charles will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018, at 11am at Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home, 1148 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Orlando Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, August 31, 2018 from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
