Betty Hazel

Betty V. Wofford Hazel, 92 of Winter Garden, FL passed away on July 23, 2014. She was born on November 26, 1921 in Winter Garden, FL. A lifelong Winter Garden resident, Betty worked at Rexall Drugs as a waitress, and then she worked for Heller Brothers Packing Company and South Lake CGA before she retired. She was a member of Temple Freewill Baptist Church in Winter Garden. Betty loved to go catfishing, but her greatest enjoyment was her family. Betty is survived by her children: Cathy Jean Pluchel and Jim Hazel by her grandchildren: Scott Hazel and Rachael Vel Pluchel her nieces: Cheryl Bushie, Dinky Hall and Rhonda Davis and by her nephews: Ronnie Wofford, Leonard Blitch, Curry Blitch, Elton Blitch and Herbert Blitch.

Visitation and Funeral Services will be at Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home on Monday, July 28. The family will receive friends from 10 AM 11 AM with the funeral service to follow at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VITAS Innovative Hospice Care www.vitascommunityconnection.org
