Ariel C. “Jane” Curl, 77, of Orange City, FL, died Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at Halifax Health Hospice after battling advanced Parkinson’s Disease. She was born November 4, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Arthur and Elizabeth Curl. Ariel was a retired Registered Nurse and teacher who attended the University of Toronto.
A beloved mother and devoted friend, she brought the gift of music to John Knox chapel’s Tuesday services. She was a member of St. Jude’s Episcopal Church.
Her passion and indomitable spirit encouraged her family and friends to persist in the face of many struggles. She was a person of faith and lived life serving others. With all the adventures she was able to take, travelling around the world, and the desire to continue learning, she was an inspiration to live life to the fullest.
Ariel is survived by her daughter, Emily Lega; grandchildren, Abigail, Shelby and David (Brody) Harding; siblings, Nelson and Mary Curl, nephews Alex and Matt Curl; and her beloved cat, Midnight.
The family would like to thank John Knox Village residents for the support and friendship as they welcomed her transition into their community. The family also expresses deep appreciation to St. Jude’s congregation and Reverend Phyllis. They have always been a piece of her heart that she was eternally grateful for, as she worshiped with them and loved all dearly.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 5, 2020, 2 pm at St. Jude's Episcopal Church, 815 East Graves Avenue, Orange City, FL. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

She will be missed, but never forgotten.
