Anna Banas Kristoff 1936-2016
Anna (Banas) Kristoff, 80, of Winter Garden, FL (formerly of Highland, IN), was welcomed into God's arms on August 18, 2016. Anna was born in Hammond, IN on February 17, 1936. She grew up in Whiting, IN, and was a 1954 graduate from George Rogers Clark High School. She worked at Standard Oil Company (American Oil Company) until 1965 when she left to start her family.
Her strong faith, devotion to God and family were most important to her. In 1964 she married her lifelong love Jim and they eventually settled in Highland to start their family. She lovingly raised two sons, Drew and Rick and was devoted grandmother to Emma.
In 1989 they moved to Florida, residing in Boca Raton for 25 years, before moving to Winter Garden.
In addition to her husband, Jim, she is survived by sons Drew (Pam) Kristoff of Algonquin, IL and Rick (Tracy) Kristoff of Winter Garden, FL, and grand-daughter Emma.
Other surviving family members include - brother Andrew Banas of Lansing, IL, and nephews David (Linda) Banas and family of Munster, IN, Paul (Kris) Banas of Lansing, IL, and niece Darlene (Robert) Fernandez and family also of Lansing, IL.
Burial will be at Concordia Cemetery in Hammond, IN. A graveside service and celebration of her life will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Anna's name may be sent to the "Anna Kristoff Memorial" fund at People of Faith 228 Windermere Road, Winter Garden, FL 34787.
